Dear Windom Families, It has been an amazing year of learning at Windom Schools! I’m Jamie Frank, your new Superintendent, and I’m excited to lead the Windom Eagles Team beginning July 1.
As we close out the 2021-2022 school year, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the experiences and opportunities that are available to our students. Windom is rich with opportunities ranging from athletic programs like volleyball, football, basketball, hockey, track, softball, baseball, wrestling, and swimming to the arts like the Fall Musical, Winter Play, Community Play, Figure Skating, and Dance. Then we have clubs like 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church-sponsored groups, the Yearbook Committee, Student Council, National Honors Society, Band & Choir Groups large and small, Eagle Manufacturing, and much more!
Being involved creates a sense of belonging and helps students feel like they are a valuable part of our community. Each experience develops 21st Century Skills like collaborating with others, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and creativity which are crucial for today’s workforce. Even more importantly, experiences build character and help students find their strengths and passions. Experiences paired with high-quality instruction will ensure that each and every Windom Eagle Student will be prepared and confident to make college or career choices upon graduation.
Please enjoy the Community Catalog and find experiences and opportunities for your child to enjoy this summer.
